Itinerary - 9 Days

1-2 London

Arrive in London and visit the Churchill War Rooms, where we will enjoy a welcome reception and dinner. Explore the decks of the H.M.S. Belfast, now part of the Imperial War Museum, and visit Norfolk House, where much of the planning for D-Day took place.

3 Portsmouth

At Bletchley Park, discover the story behind the Enigma code breakers. Travel to Portsmouth to explore the D-Day Museum. Take a tour of Southwick House, former headquarters of the Allied commanders.
Langstone Hotel (B/L/D)

4 Normandy, France

Cross the English Channel by ferry and visit the Pegasus Memorial Bridge and Museum. Trace the footsteps of thousands of soldiers at Juno Beach and Gold Beach, then continue to the German artillery battery at Longues-sur-Mer.

5 Sainte-Mère-Église/Saintemarie-Du-Mont/Utah Beach

Explore the village of Sainte-Mère-Église, where paratroopers dropped from the sky in a hail of gunfire on the night of June 5. Visit a memorial established in memory of the 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment of the 101st Airborne Division—known as E or Easy Company—then venture into the field where Easy Company Commander Thomas Meehan and his crew perished. Explore Sainte-Marie-du-Mont and Utah Beach.

6-7 D-Day Anniversary/Pointe Du Hoc/Colleville-Sur-Mer

On the 75th anniversary of D-Day, attend a commemoration ceremony at the Normandy American Cemetery and Memorial overlooking Omaha Beach. The next day, explore the dramatic Pointe du Hoc and wander along Omaha Beach. Trace the history of the Vierville Draw and see remnants of German fortifications along the Atlantic Wall.

8-9 Bayeux/Paris

Visit the 11th-century Cathedral of Bayeux and see the Bayeux Tapestry before driving to Paris this afternoon. The following day, transfer to Paris' Charles de Gaulle Airport for your flight home.
