1 Madrid, Spain
Upon arrival in Madrid, transfer to our hotel, then set out on a tour of the city. Explore the grand Plaza de Oriente and stroll through the 17th-century Plaza Mayor. Visit the world-renowned Museo del Prado, which houses works by masters including Velázquez, El Greco, and Goya. Gran Meliá

Drive south to medieval Toledo. Set out on a tour of this World Heritage city brimming with churches, synagogues, mosques, and plazas. Venture inside the Gothic cathedral to see paintings by Goya and Caravaggio, and view El Greco's famed Burial of the Count of Orgaz. Gran Meliá

In Córdoba, visit the Mosque-Cathedral of Cordoba, or Mezquita, and the Jewish quarter. Later, journey to Granada and experience the Alhambra palace—a marvel of intricate stuccowork, archways, and courtyards. Visit the Nasrid palaces around the Court of the Lions and walk through the Generalife gardens. In the evening, stroll through the old Moorish quarter, the Albayzín.

8-9 Tarifa/Tangier, Morocco/Chefchaouene
Travel to the town of Tarifa on the southernmost coast of Spain and board an early afternoon ferry to Tangier. Spend the next day exploring Tangier’s medina, Mendoubia Gardens, and the Jewish quarter. Continue to Chefchaouene.

Nestled amid the Rif Mountains, Chefchaouene was founded in 1471. Visit the remains of the original fortress, or kasbah, and explore the old town, where the buildings are painted striking shades of blue. Later, take a hands-on cooking class, followed by an all-female Andalusian musical performance.

11 Meknès And Volubilis/Fez
Journey south to Fez, stopping along the way to visit two World Heritage sites: Meknès and Volubilis. In Meknès, visit historic gems including the new and old Jewish quarters, and continue to the Roman ruins at Volubilis, which date back to the third century b.c. Afterwards, transfer to Fez.

Spend a day exploring the highlights of Fez. Begin in the Fez el-Jdid, the “new city,” then venture into the labyrinthine alleyways of Fès el-bali, the old walled city. Discover the 14th-century Bou Inania Madrasa, an Islamic theological college known for its stunning architecture; the Nejjarine Fountain; and the ornate Bab Boujloud gate. This evening, enjoy a private dinner and Sufi musical performance at a family home.
Riad Maison Bleue (B/L/D)
13-14 I Rabat/Casablanca
Drive to Casablanca, stopping en route to explore Rabat. In Casablanca, visit the Hassan II Mosque. Enjoy a farewell dinner. The following morning, transfer to the airport for your flight home.
